Hot Stamping is a low cost process that applies very thin film to surface of the plastic part. It is normally one color and is moderately durable depending upon conditions.

Pad Printing is another low cost process that transfers paint to the plastic surface much like a printing press. It is reasonably durable and can provide some finer detail that hot-stamping can not.

Heat Transfers is a process very similar to hot-stamping except it provides multi-colored graphics on the same film. It is a complete image which can be silk-screened or flexographically printed onto a substrate material or carrier. It is then fed through a hot-stamp press and applied with heat and pressure to the plastic part.

In-Mold Decorating is a process which refers to the insertion (by hand or robotically) of a graphic appliqué into the mold which then closes and plastic is injected to form the part. The graphic has been subsurface printed on a highly scuff and scratch resistant material which permanently bonds to the plastic. In-mold decorating (IMD) can lower your decorating costs, increase quality and reduce scrap while providing stunning images that will allow your product to stand out from your competition.
